Sixty six runners gathered at the Beaver Fairgrounds in Beaver Springs for Saturday’s race. James Wenger of Troxelville crossed the finish tape first with a time of 17:53. Daphyne Ressler of Winfield was the first female to complete the 3.1 mile course in 22:52. Overall winners each received a DVD or MP3 player. Age group winners each received drinking glasses printed with the Middlecreek Area Community Center logo. Door prizes were donated by Conestoga Wood Specialties. Refreshments were donated by Airy Dale Farm Markets and BestWay Pizza of Beaver Springs. Samples of Krank’d energy drinks were available for each runner. Proceeds from the race benefit the Middlecreek Area Community Center (MACC) in Beaver Springs. MACC Assistant Director Victoria Tornambe was on hand to start the race and award prizes.
