Oktoberfest 5K

October 14, 2006, Beaver Fairgrounds, Beaver Springs, PA

A record number of runners competed in the 13th Annual Oktoberfest 5K on Saturday, October 14, 2006.

Sixty seven runners gathered at the Beaver Fairgrounds in Beaver Springs for Saturday’s race.

Jadrien Deibler of Snydertown crossed the finish tape first with a time of 17:03.

Erin Andretta of Middleburg was the first female to complete the 3.1 mile course in 22:01.

Overall winners each received a gift certificate to WalMart. Age group winners each received drinking glasses printed with the Middlecreek Area Community Center logo. Door prizes were donated by Conestoga Wood Specialties.

Proceeds from the race benefit the Middlecreek Area Community Center (MACC) in Beaver Springs.

MACC Assistant Director Rich Hess was on hand to start the race and award prizes.
